COVID-19 Plan for Martial Arts classes
When we reopen our classes (July, 2020), we will be implementing the following plan to protect everyone from the Covid-19 virus. Please review this plan and be prepared to follow the safety guidelines when you return to class.
Japanese Shinkendo Swordsmanship class

Classes will be limited to no more than 12 students per class.

Keep distance between students of at least 7 feet.

No direct contact between students or instructor

There will be no loud kia’s (yelling or counting).

Wooden practice swords will be santitized before and after class.
-
Hand-sanitizers will be available for cleaning hands when needed.

Students will not be permitted to join class if they are sick
-
Students are encouraged to wear masks and/or face shields.

Students must bring own water bottle. The water fountain will be unavailable.
Aikido Self Defense classes

Limit class to no more than 12 students per class to keep at least 7-ft distance apart.

Mats will NOT be used at this time.

There will be no direct contact between students or instructors.

Curriculum will be limited to solo forms, weapon training with knife/Bo Staff, kicks, punches, blocks, footwork drills, and cardio conditioning,

All practice weapons will be sanitized before class and at end of class. Students will be assigned their own weapon for duration of class.
